pawelooss I need some help with replacing the nif files for battery and signal strength from 5130 xm ppm . I couldn't find those nif files , could you tell me please what are the nif files number so I can replace them?

The thing is we cannot find any battery or network nif icons in our default ppm. I only found the vedio camera, recorder, new msg, and some other wired icons.

Where can I get all the other icons like battery, network, headset, bluetooth, email, outgoing msg indicator, download indicator, etc?

Well the thing is that I can't find them, I even looked in those doc files but with no luck because at those numbers I have something else. Also there are some nif files that can't be viewed with nif viewer as it wont show nothing from those nif files (it shows a black screen only). I believe there are those nifs I look for, but without a viewer or someone can tell me the nif files number for 5130 I cant do anything.

Yes, becasue it is from 5310XM, so numeration of the graphics is other than 5130XM.


What do you have to do?
1. Download the newest bulid and open PPModd.
2. Extras -> Options -> "add_anim_uid" should be enabled by default (if not - double click) -> Apply -> OK.
3. Open PPM of 5310XM and export the ANIM chunk to one folder.
4. Open PPM of 5130XM and export the ANIM chunk to another folder.
5. Number of files in PPModd is counted from 0, in Russian programs (PPM Editor) and documents (eg. this NIF list) - from 1. Remember this fact.
6. Find in 5310XM's DOC wanted icon, eg. battery - 1075, subtract the number by 1.
7. Open "anim.xml" from 5310XM and find line with "anim_1074.nif", copy the hex value between tags <UID>.
8. Open "anim.xml" from 5130XM and find copied hex value. Than you can find the name of NIF file.

You can extract graphics from ready patch.

i used the newest build of PPModd

and double ckicked "add_anim_uid" -> Apply -> OK

but when i export ANIM to .xml, open it, there havn't line with "anim_*.nif", only like this:

Maybe you use the Export to XML option? You have to right click on ANIM and choose Export to binary.

oooo, i made a mistake, hehe.

sir poweloss can you post a tutorial about changing font using ppmode??..im using ppmode to replace the original font on my phone...i drag the font inside of the ppm..but how can i save the whole ppm with the edited font??
