- reboot your PC
- connect your phone
- launch the device manager (Launch the start menu and type "device", the search will show it)
- manually update the Nokia driver of the only Nokia device in "COM & LPT" to HUAWEI Mobiel Connect - USB Device
If you don't know what I mean with manually updating a driver:
- click right on your device
- choose Properties -> Driver -> Update driver -> Manually -> Choose from list -> untick "show compatible drivers only"
- select the vendor (HUAWEI) on the left side and the driver on the right side.
- manually update the Nokia driver of the only Nokia device in "Modem" to HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem
- disconnect and reconnect your phone
- maybe you will have to reboot?
Now Phonix and Nokia Suite are working fine on Windows 10.
__________
If you do not use your Symbian phone as a modem, then you do NOT need Huawai drivers!!! Houwai driver was broken after the last big Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 in my PC!!! I Reinstalled it but...my last Intel chip-set drivers upgrade broke this driver again...
1. Connect your 808 or N8 via USB;
2.1. Open the Device Manager and DISABLE (No delete) in Ports (COM & LPT) -> USB Serial Port (COM3);
2.2. then in modems -> NOKIA USB Modem -> Right click-disable, disconnect phone. You may need to restart the PC - usually restarting Nokia Suite is enough if you know how to reopen its process (close it in the system task View or use Task Manager to end its processes then start again)
3. Nokia Suite already Works for sync, backup and gallery
