Hi friends,

I tried to add Arabic language for Nokia 6350 (rm-455), but failed.
Result:
1. The arabic text was shown only [][][]. :(
2. Can not find the Arabic input even though I had added the Arabic T9 subchunk under the LDB chunk.

What's the reason? Anyone can help for this?

Is it possible that was cuased by the wrong subchunk (I just copied an existing one, then changed the ID and imported) for Arabic under the EDIT chunk (this is a unknown chunk)? Or caused by the unsupported VFONT.

Thanks.

clarkliu1314, hi! :)

I have just written in topic (link), so we are waiting now to ndt's reply.

Can you upload somewhere (for example speedyshare.com) the problematic PPM file and XML with Arabic language?
This can help to solve the problem.

Best regards,
pawelooss

He used to read forum quite often, but for a few months he has visited us very irregularly. Unfortunately I suppose only he can help, because the problem looks at wrong coding of text and it require recompilation bulid of PPModd. Unless I'm mistaken. ;)

Quote:
DIGI - digital clock
CNDS - main menu
RGLR - all the rest
STSB - text at main screen
SBNL - unknown
OPTI - (change is risky)

BTW, I you want change PPM (graphics, fonts) without problematic text, you have to open Extras menu, select Options, mark "text_as_unknown" at 1 and then load your PPM file. ;)

I can't see any problem. In PPModd AR1X texts are displayed correctly. Did you change fonts? I don't see any Arabic characters in Nokia Sans* fonts from ppm you posted above.
