Problem with editing Simplified Chinese texts in PPModd.

pawelooss

I come from China.

I found a BUG in PPModd . When I was using PPModd to open the fifth edition of the Chinese PPM (eg 7210C), there was a message like "deadlock while decompressing" in the progress box. After I saved the modified PPM, the size of PPM would increase a lot, and there would be unrecognizable code in ZH01 (Simplified Chinese) of the TEXT. However, this kind of phenomenon didn't happen to the third edition of the Chinese PPM.

the simplified Chinese in the third edition of the Chinese PPM is Simplified ZH03
but that in the fifth edition is Simplified ZH01.

i think that the problem lies in Simplified Chinese, the reason i did'n know.

pawelooss

today i found this problem does not only happen to the Simplified Chinese(ZH01) of the 5th edition, but also to the Traditional Chinese(ZH10) of the 3th and 5th edition.

rm217__07.30_6300(in this PPM contain Traditional Chinese(ZH10))

chinaman, you have to wait for an answer of ndt, the PPModd programmer. ;)

But could you upload the problematic PPM file? For example at 4shared.com, speedyshare.com or similar. :)

i could't upload the PPM file to this site, the reason i don't know, when i upload the ppm, receive a message"Przekroczyłeś maksymalny limit uploadu (1 Bajtów)"

you can download this PPM from RapidShare rm436__07.23_7210c

It meant sites with changed PPM files and about changing text, graphics in these PPM files, for example by PPModd. Only that. I asked because I was intriguing. Thanks. ;)

dear friend, such kind of website is only few in China; also researches on changing PPM started very late and the main data is from Russia.

In other words, if we have any problems on changing PPM, we can only turn to Russian website or English website for help.

michero, i found this in our chinese sports magazine, it says: word "chinaman" like the word "Negroes", which has the meaning of indignity. some days ago, our chinese sports man YI had been called "chinaman" by an american guide in the NBA games.

He is the sole developer of next-generation PPModd, so maybe he does not know how to fix it. That same it is with the lack of editing capabilities 3110c & 5200XM fonts - there is also no solution for a 10 months.

He maybe also have no time. It is no surprise - after all, he is now mainly working about SE. But big thanks for what he did and that no one else in the world is not done. :)

I don't know. I would like to have it solved, but if so far there is no response, I doubt that will happen. But all time I hope I'm wrong. :P
